1. Who We Are

Jyotika is an AI-powered Vedic astrology application provided by Jyotika Digital, an enterprise registered under India's Udyam framework and operated by Pulkit Meena ("we", "us", "our"). Services are accessible via our Android application on Google Play and at jyotikaai.com.

We handle digital personal data in strict compliance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the DPDP Rules, 2025.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to compute birth charts, deliver custom AI astrology readings, and manage user accounts:

  • Astrological Parameters: Date, time, and geographical place of birth to calculate your Kundli/astrological chart.
  • Chat Interactions: Up to your last 50 chat messages to maintain context across application sessions.
  • Saved Insights: Specific readings or answers you explicitly choose to bookmark within the app.
  • Gender Info: Optional input used solely for tailoring relationship and compatibility interpretations.
  • Contextual Notes: Short, automated summaries derived from past chats (e.g., "recently relocated") to keep future AI responses contextual.
  • Wallet & Ledger Data: Transaction records, purchased coin bundles, current coin balance, and order reference identifiers.
  • Usage records: How large each reading was and what it cost to generate, with no chat text or personal prompt content attached.
  • Device & Technical Data: IP address, operating system version, and device parameters collected automatically via Google Firebase SDKs for system performance and app integrity.

3. Purpose & Use of Data

Your personal data is used exclusively to:

  1. Compute Vedic astrological parameters and generate AI-driven interpretations.
  2. Authenticate your identity, manage coin balances, and process Google Play in-app purchases.
  3. Secure the application against unauthorized access, fraud, and system abuse.

We do not sell your personal data, nor do we disclose your chat content or astrological profile to third parties for commercial advertising.

4. Third-Party AI & Infrastructure Safeguards

  • Storage & Encryption: System data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure adhering to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 security standards. Data is protected using encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest.
  • AI Processing: To evaluate questions and compute insights, astrological parameters and prompts are securely transmitted to third-party artificial intelligence processing API providers. Server endpoints may reside outside India. Under our binding developer processing agreements, user data is kept only for a limited period and is strictly prohibited from being used to train public or commercial AI models.

5. Third-Party Data Disclosures

We share personal information strictly on an operational need-to-know basis with:

6. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act

7. Data Retention & Anonymization

  • Active Accounts: Data is stored as long as your account remains open.
  • Account Deletion: Immediate purging of birth details, chart calculations, chat histories, contextual notes, and saved readings from active storage.
  • Accounting Records: Financial transaction logs (what was purchased and when) are retained for periods required under Indian tax laws.
  • Anti-Fraud Security: Upon account deletion, an anonymized one-way cryptographic hash of your account identifier is permanently stored to prevent repeated exploitation of promotional starter coins. This hash cannot be reversed to discover your personal identity.
  • System Logs: Server performance and diagnostic logs are automatically purged within 30 days.

8. Age Restriction

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Jyotika mobile application or jyotikaai.com, you enter into a binding legal agreement with Jyotika Digital, an enterprise operated by Pulkit Meena ("we", "us", "our").

If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease using the application and services.

2. Service Scope & Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer

Jyotika provides automated Vedic astrology readings and interpretations generated through artificial intelligence models.

  • Entertainment & Cultural Purpose: All readings, horoscopes, and chart calculations are intended strictly for spiritual, educational, and entertainment purposes.
  • Automated Output Limitations: Interpretations are generated by AI algorithms based on traditional astrological calculations. AI systems may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or varied outputs. Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without guarantees of predictive accuracy or real-world outcomes.
  • No Professional Advice: Jyotika does not provide medical, legal, financial, mental health, or other professional services. Readings must never be used as a substitute for advice from qualified licensed professionals. Any decision or action taken based on content within Jyotika is strictly at your own choice and risk.

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to register an account or use Jyotika. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. Coin Economy & Payment Terms

  • In-App Coin Purchases: Jyotika uses a digital coin system to manage query submissions. Asking a question or generating a reading costs a designated number of coins (e.g., 5 coins per query).
  • Coin Validity: Purchased coins do not expire while your account remains active.
  • Payment Processing: On Android devices, all payments, currency conversions, and billing operations are securely executed by Google Play Commerce in Indian Rupees (INR) or your local currency. Prices listed include all applicable statutory taxes.

5. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Due to the immediate technical costs of computing AI interpretations, coin sales are generally non-refundable once delivered. Standard refunds are considered only under the following limited conditions:

  • Coin Non-Delivery: You were successfully charged by Google Play, but coins were not credited to your in-app wallet balance. Upon verification, we will manually credit the coins or initiate a transaction refund within 7 business days.
  • Duplicate Charges: You were billed multiple times for a single coin bundle transaction due to a payment gateway error.

Used coins cannot be refunded under any circumstances. To request a refund review, contact astroarthastrology@gmail.com with your official Google Play order reference number (starting with GPA.). Standard Google Play store refund policies also apply concurrently.

6. Prohibited Uses & Account Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following restricted activities:

  • Utilizing the app or its content for any unlawful purpose under Indian or international law.
  • Reverse-engineering, decompiling, scraping, or attempting to extract the underlying source code, algorithms, or prompt frameworks of Jyotika.
  • Creating multiple accounts to repeatedly exploit introductory promotional coins or system incentives.
  • Submitting queries or content designed to harass, abuse, threaten, or defame any individual or group.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found violating these conduct standards without notice or refund of unused coins.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All software code, visual design, brand logos, AI orchestration frameworks, and proprietary database configurations associated with Jyotika and jyotikaai.com are the exclusive intellectual property of Jyotika Digital / Pulkit Meena. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any portion of our app without explicit written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

  • Cap on Liability: To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, the cumulative liability of Jyotika Digital and its operator for any claims arising out of your use of the service shall be limited exclusively to the total amount paid by you for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.
  • Exclusion of Consequential Damages: We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to, or inability to access, the application or reliance on any astrological output.
  • Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jyotika Digital and its operator from any claims, losses, or liabilities resulting from your breach of these terms or misuse of the service.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute, legal action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.
